Chattanooga I Do’s | Hannah + Alan | 10.16.21

I like to think Nashville and Chattanooga are secret BFFs. They each have big city vibes, southern hospitality, Tennessee charm, and are never too far away! Hannah and Alan allowed White Ink to help elevate their Chattanooga nuptials and we were thrilled to jump on board. They were an amazing couple to work with, from creating stunning reception details all the way down to transporting all the items from Nashville. What an honor it was to be a part of such a gorgeous wedding in such a lovely town.

Hannah and Alan chose The Common House for their wedding venue which had only opened its doors in Chattanooga a few months prior to the couple’s wedding date, making their wedding one of the first ones to take place at this location.

The most stunning part of this wedding, hands-down, was the endless display of floral arrangements! Flowers gushed through each carefully planned setting of Hannah and Alan’s big day, leaving us speechless.

The White Ink team was blown away when we saw how our couple displayed the seating chart that we customized for them. Can you blame us though? The floral backdrop that went along with this chart set it apart in a way that I’ve never seen before. Now THIS is how you display an acrylic seating chart! Showstopper vibes!

We provided Hannah and Alan with the table numbers for their reception, and we loved what they chose. The gold accents on each sign complimented the impressive tablescapes of florals and fine linen. Seeing how our work comes through for our couples on their wedding day is so very rewarding!

White Ink was also asked to create the menus along with the place cards which were perfectly pieced together with gold-colored wax seals. (Wax seals are kind of my favorite thing ever, just sayin’.) Details like these are an easy way to add a layer of elegance to any occasion.

This one was a magical one, guys. Flowers for days, lighting that could make the stars jealous, endless rose colors and gold accents: this is what we live for! We want to make designs and create details that go right along with the dreams that our couples have for their weddings. What can we create for your big day? What does your dream wedding look like?

Backyard Weddings: Where Modern Meets Comfort | Bri + Frank | 7.10.21

Backyard Weddings: Where Modern Meets Comfort | Bri + Frank | 7.10.21

Backyard weddings lend themselves to a bride and groom’s creative freedoms. It’s the perfect opportunity to truly customize a wedding in whatever ways you want especially in style, design, florals, dancing, food and more. Not to mention, these venues are yours to book whenever you want! During the pandemic, couples began to turn to backyard weddings as the perfect answer for their venue needs. They present an equal level of beauty and exclusivity that many other outdoor locations offer- only here, you’re home!

Bri and Frank’s big day was the ultimate example of what backyard wedding dreams are made of! They didn’t have to compromise their own style, in fact, this setting enhanced it. Modern and romantic elements blended perfectly together and were enjoyed by all. And White Ink is honored that Bri and Frank asked us to be a part of this charming day. One of THE best parts was getting to make the place cards. These aren’t your typical place cards, ya’ll. These were made from the most stunning, colored tile we have ever seen! Just look at how the calligraphy seems to “float” on top of each tile. If you want to put a smile on your guest’s face, put their name in calligraphy and watch them just light up. It’s a very personal and magical touch! Added bonus: tile place cards won’t fly away at your outdoor events!

The White Ink team was happy to help elevate Bri and Frank’s wedding by creating their gorgeous seating chart. The abstract hand painting against the acrylic was the perfect canvas for the flowy, white calligraphy boasting the names of each guest. Seating charts make the best statement pieces, in our opinion. We also love how our couple’s welcome sign turned out! It displayed the perfect collection of modern tones: thin lines, multi-textured structure, gowned in greenery and florals. It was very satisfying to watch it all come together so perfectly.

Backyard weddings are making a comeback, and White Ink is more than ready! We’re excited to see what our new couples want us to create for their dream wedding, especially in the spaces they call home. Congrats to Bri and Frank! You make us love what we do.

 A Winter Wonder Wedding | Maggie & Barret | 1.8.22

 A Winter Wonder Wedding | Maggie & Barret | 1.8.22

There are some weddings that have a magical way of rooting themselves into your memory. Maggie and Barret’s winter wonder wedding is certainly one that is impossible to forget. This couple aimed for a dreamy, wintery celebration at the gorgeous Long Hollow Gardens in Gallatin, TN, where even mother nature bestowed a gift on the festivities. What could be better than snowfall during a winter wedding? Perfection!

White Ink was invited to take part in putting together some gorgeous and timeless details of this picture-perfect fairy tale starting with Maggie and Barret’s invitations. The shade of green used on their envelopes compliments the bold impressions that winter brings along. It’s a perfect mix of classic and gentle. Custom envelope calligraphy makes this suite even sweeter.

The welcome sign from White Ink insists on being seen! It is seriously one of our favorite pieces to include in the décor of weddings like this one. Nothing compares to ornamented gold, truly.

The cocktail hour drink favorites are displayed on these stunning little gold framed mirrors. We always have a lot of fun with these! They fit seamlessly into any event.

Mirrors, mirrors, and more mirrors! At White Ink, we LOVE mirrors, want to know why? Not only are they timeless details that can elevate any scene, but they are reusable! We can use them over and over, helping us in reducing waste. Mirrors are a must-have item that any bride and groom can feel good about using. We are over-the-moon for the hanging mirrors used to display the reception’s seating chart. The way the greenery interlaces throughout this display is almost too much to handle.

Why stop there? Nestled into the gentle, rustic tablescapes is one of our favorite pieces, gold mirrored acrylic table numbers. Just another detail you didn’t know you needed for your next event.

We loved how Maggie and Barret’s menus turned out, especially the way they popped overtop the deeper colors of the décor. Simply done and perfectly placed, creating a menu for your event helps promote that classic look that we all adore.

As if the fresh snow, cobble stone floor, stringed lighting, and wintery florals weren’t enough to perfect this fairy-tale, our bride and groom used a snow machine for their unforgettable send-off! Really solidifying the winter wonder wedding fun!

At White Ink, we are so touched to be a part of our couples’ dream weddings. We can’t think of a bigger honor. For Maggie and Barret, we were thrilled to use our creativity in helping them create a night that is frozen in time. Congrats!

Let’s Get Personal | Cille + Ford | 5.14.22

Let’s Get Personal | Cille + Ford | 5.14.22

I like getting an opportunity to show our clients (past, present and future) things that have been trending in our most recent projects. Cille and Ford gave us the perfect wedding to showcase the work we have so much fun doing for our clients. We can’t wait to add some of these exclusive White Ink details to your next event!

What is trending in invitation suites? Two words- Envelope Calligraphy! This ode to elegance is taking back its rightful place in the invitation world. Envelope calligraphy can only be enhanced by custom designed wax seals. You can see here that Cille and Ford chose to have the wax seals on their envelopes show the same monogram as their invites. But it doesn’t stop there; I am gushing over how perfect the entire suite came together with custom monogrammed invitation bands. This suite has it all- calligraphy, personalization, and good taste.

What is trending with seating charts? Originality, for one and calligraphy of course. Reception seating charts are an entire mood! Our White Ink team has had the honor of creating countless seating charts that take on all shapes, textures, themes and sizes. Cille and Ford’s seating chart is definitely one that’s hard to forget. We added custom calligraphy to an all-acrylic sign which was designed to fit neatly onto a hedge wall donned with SHELVES. OF. CHAMPAINGE. Add that to the list of things I’ll never get tired of saying!

What is trending at reception tables? Custom table numbers! And I’d like to add that the White Ink rental collection has nearly every sort of table number that we can customize specifically for your event no matter the style. Just as Cille and Ford did, you can make it as personal as you like. They decided to add photos of themselves to each sign so that the number on the table corresponded with the age they are in the photo, i.e., table number five displayed pictures of both Cille and Ford when they were five years old. Now that’s how you make it personal, and memorable! For this reception, White Ink also created monogrammed menus for each table setting which included gold ink calligraphy place cards attached to each menu- another trend we are always excited to see.

What is trending at the bar? Cocktail Calligraphy! No, we aren’t just talking about bar signage. We mean calligraphy for the actual drink! We customize and design drink friendly cocktail calligraphy to be placed perfectly atop your favorite drinks. Trust me when I say, this is a trend that is taking off like wildfire. And it is something your guests will be talking about for a long time.

There you have it. These are only a few examples of what White Ink has been busy doing for our clients in recent events. Not only did Cille and Ford have an unforgettable wedding day complete with top notch details, but they also made sure to make it theirs, to make it personal. And that will never go out of style!

Bringing Wedding Details Together is a Good Look | Macy + Timmy | 4.23.22

Bringing Wedding Details Together is a Good Look | Macy + Timmy | 4.23.22

Turning wedding dreams into a reality can be a big job for any couple. The best thing a bride and groom can do is get the right people in their corner to make all of their wedding details come together. When our White Ink couples ask us to be a part of their big day, we are prepared to give them whatever it takes to make their wedding an unforgettable moment!

Macy and Timmy are just one of those couples that are a dream to work with. They trusted us to use our expertise in bringing together the finer details that were seamlessly sprinkled throughout the reception. This southern wedding was enjoyed by all, especially the team here at White Ink.

A great way to elevate your wedding theme is to bring the details together throughout the ceremony, reception and even after-parties. For example, Macy and Timmy cleverly used the idea behind their Polaroid style save-the-date and applied it to their one-of-a-kind seating chart! Very fun and inviting for each guest to enjoy.

White Ink created Macy and Timmy’s custom invitations complete with rosy hues, wax seals, and letterpress invites. These beautiful color combinations made their appearance again with the custom acrylic signage we designed for them. I absolutely LOVED the way the tabletop signage for their bar menu and guest book pulled from the invitation colors making it a detail that did not go unnoticed. The ombre effect on each sign was a fun conversation starter. Look how perfect these turned out!

The White Ink team also put together these custom cocktail napkins! These were the perfect little additions that gave a fun twist to cocktail hour. Each napkin displayed the same custom initials design that guests first saw in their invites. Again, proving that even small details can tie an event together in a big way.

Macy and Timmy’s beautiful southern wedding gave us the perfect opportunity to point out how meaningful it can be to reuse colors, custom designs and themes throughout your wedding or event. Taking time to perfectly place what represents you and your style can make a lasting impact on your guest’s experience. Details like these make a big difference and that’s a difference White Ink loves to make!

Styled Shoot at Diamond Creek Farms: Why Vendors Put Together Mock Events

Styled Shoot at Diamond Creek Farms: Why Vendors Put Together Mock Events

So, what’s the deal with a styled shoot? What makes wedding and event vendors put in the time
and effort to throw something together that isn’t an actual event? Well, it’s pretty simple… we
want to show you what we’ve got! Putting together a top-notch event is an art form, and we
are the creatives behind the scenes. Nashville is one of those places where you don’t have to
look very far to find a vendor or creative that is the absolute best at what they do.

For obvious reasons, most of what event vendors create come directly from whatever inspires
the client: theme, colors, style, texture, all of it. So, when we are afforded a moment to let our
creative juices flow and boast our skills, we will jump at the chance.

A few of Nashville’s best creatives put our minds together for what turned out to be an amazing
display of talent. I hope that you can use our styled shoot at Diamond Creek Farms to pull some
inspiration for your next event or wedding. This was a multi-part shoot designed to
demonstrate the contrast between gold and black, blush and gold, and black and white styles! I
think you’ll agree that what we put together for you is simply stunning. Check it out!

The blush and gold themed invitation suite focused on a balance of gentle and modern. The
rosy envelopes with custom calligraphy and wax seals leaned perfectly into the edge-cut papers
and print invites. To elevate this combination, White Ink created the most attractive little place
cards I think I’ve ever done. We used pressed florals inside acrylic, lined it in gold and used
custom spot calligraphy; all resting gorgeously on top of the menu place setting. I’m in love with
the idea of using this for an outdoor spring wedding!

For the black and gold, and black and white portion of the shoot, White Ink really got to have
fun and play with some amazing details. For the invitation suite we “pushed the envelope”, if
you will, and designed off-centered custom envelope calligraphy while using the added space to
make a modern splash. Our stationary team came through with a custom modern font for the
invites, making this a truly impressive suite for clients to draw some inspiration from.

It’s time to talk about these black marble, stand-alone tiles! Details like these babies have an
amazing way of keeping your guests chatting about your event for a long time to come. The
contrast between the muted black and bright white custom calligraphy is an aesthetic gem.
(Sigh). I love using tile place cards as a way to add texture to a reception. And for those outdoor
receptions, they can double as paperweights for your menus. Brilliant!

There you have it! Vendors want to help make your wedding and events everything you hoped
for. We might even have a few great ideas up our sleeves! We hope you enjoy.
