Some weddings feel special from the very beginning, and this Cherokee Dock, Italian-Inspired Wedding was absolutely one of them. The bride is a fellow event industry professional, and we originally met her while she was working at a venue. From that first interaction, we completely fell in love with her. When she reached out about designing the details for her own wedding, it felt like such an honor to be part of the team bringing her vision to life.
Her inspiration for the wedding details was Italian-esque with a timeless, elegant edge. The design leaned into classic textures and thoughtful details with meaningful touches.
Invitations Inspired by Cherokee Dock
The invitation suite introduced guests to the aesthetic of the day before they ever arrived at the venue. The main invitation was printed on crisp white paper with soft green calligraphy, creating a look that felt both fresh and classic.
Inside the envelope, guests discovered a custom envelope liner featuring artwork of Cherokee Dock, the stunning Tennessee wedding venue where the celebration would take place.
Ceremony Details
Another special element we created for the ceremony was a flowing fabric memorial sign. Fabric signage has such a soft, romantic presence, and this piece offered a meaningful way to honor loved ones who could not be there.
Custom Olive Oil Seating Chart
One of the most memorable elements of the wedding design was the seating chart. Rather than a traditional display, the couple chose something far more personal and interactive.
Guests found their table assignments attached to small jars of olive oil, which doubled as their wedding favors. Even more meaningful, the olive oil had been made by a member of the couple’s family.
These kinds of seating charts are some of our favorites to design because they serve multiple purposes by guiding guests, telling a story, and leaving everyone with a thoughtful gift from the day.
A Hand-Lettered Bar Menu on a Vase
Out of all the details we created, my personal favorite was the hand-lettered bar menu written directly onto a vase.
It was such a unique and artistic way to present the drink offerings, and it fit perfectly with the Italian-inspired aesthetic. Details like this are what make weddings feel truly custom and unforgettable.
Timeless Hand-Deckled Menus
At the reception tables, guests found hand-deckled menus, a classic detail that instantly elevated the tablescape. The soft, textured edges of the paper added a sense of artistry and timeless elegance that paired beautifully with the rest of the design elements throughout the space.
TimelessItalian-Inspired Wedding Details
Designing the details for this Cherokee Dock wedding was such a joy, especially knowing the bride herself understood what thoughtful event design can bring to a celebration. Being trusted by a fellow wedding industry professional to design such meaningful elements made this entire experience even more special! We were so honored to be a part of it!

At White Ink Calligraphy + Co, we believe wedding design is about more than beautiful details. It’s about creating a cohesive and memorable experience for guests that fully encapsulates our clients’ wedding vision. Kansas and Don’s wedding at Diamond Creek Farm in Nashville was filled with intentional, elegant, and meaningful design moments. As a full-service wedding design house, it was such a joy to bring their vision to life and create custom signage and details for their special day.
Kansas was a stunning bride. Her off-shoulder wedding dress featured long-sleeves and intricate lace details . What I loved even more though, was that the bride is a florist. I absolutely love working with fellow creatives, as they appreciate things like texture, composition, and detail on a deeper level. Kansas brought such thoughtful intention to every element, and together we created pieces that felt refined yet personal.
Custom Ceremony & Welcome Signage
Guests were greeted as they arrived at Diamond Creek Farm by a frosted glass welcome sign framed in gold and featuring soft white calligraphy. There’s something about frosted glass that feels elevated and romantic. The welcome sign was framed by soft florals that further elevated the entire installation.
Displayed at the ceremony was a custom sign reading “Pick a seat, not a side! You are loved by both the groom & Bride.” This simple phrase set such a warm tone and emphasized the value Kansas and Don place on unity and togetherness. We also designed a cloth wedding sign that made for a great photo background for the bride and groom.
The Seating Chart Installation
After a touching ceremony, guests could find their seating assignment from the white seating chart columns. I love the clean, architectural, and timeless design we were able to create with these. For this installation we collaborated with Blue Fish Event Rentals, which is always such a treat. They do amazing work and our partnership allows us to dream bigger and execute seamlessly. The crisp black calligraphy against the white columns felt modern yet classic, perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic of the day.
Elevated Reception Details
The reception design layered texture, color, and movement in thoughtful ways. We designed the acrylic bar signage in a plum color with white calligraphy.
At the tables, white place cards identified each guest’s seat and had ribbons attached in different colors to indicate meal selections-a functional and beautiful addition!
The custom menus we designed featured a black vellum overlay adorned with pink florals and secured by a gold pin that allowed guests to gently spin the overlay upward to reveal the menu beneath. Interactive details like this create a tactile experience, which are always my favorite.
Lastly, stone table numbers brought an organic, textural element to the already beautiful tablescape.
Handmade Paper with Personal Touches
A fun detail we created were the handmade paper displays that featured fun facts about Kansas and Don, which sat at the head table. It’s these unexpected, and fun details that guests remember and truly make the day yours.
Kansas and Don’s wedding is such a beautiful example of what happens when every detail is thoughtfully designed and intentionally placed. From custom signage and deatails to handmade paper goods, every piece worked together to tell a cohesive story and create a memorable experience for all those in attendance.

Recently featured in The Wren, this Cedarmont Farm wedding editorial was an absolute dream to create for. The entire design concept centered around texture, warmth, and timeless romance, and we wanted every detail of the paper goods and signage to reflect that. I am in love with the results from these Cedarmont Farm textured wedding details.
A Warm, Earthy Vision for This Cedarmont Farm Wedding
Set among the rolling hills of Franklin, Tennessee, Cedarmont Farm is a venue that beautifully blends historic charm with modern touches. Its elegant interiors made it the perfect backdrop for this editorial. Our goal was to pull as much texture as possible into each stationery and signage element.
Elegant and Classic Textured Invitation Suite
The invitation suite set the tone for the event with handmade, textured paper and a classic wax seal for an organic yet elevated look. We paired the suite with light tan envelopes. The combination of warm neutrals and refined materials perfectly echoed the editorial’s color palette inspired by Pantone’s Mocha Mousse.
Day-of Details: Fabric Signage
For the bar signage and seating chart, we continued the theme of texture and flow with custom fabric signage, which brought a sense of cohesion to the space. The seating chart flowed in the wind as was placed outside in the seating area. The bar sign was a statement piece as it draped over the front of the bar listing all the beverages available.
Fabric continued to take center stage as we created fabric menus that draped effortlessly across each place setting, adding softness and movement to the tablescape.
To complement the other design elements, we also incorporated leather place cards. Each detail worked together to create a cohesive visual narrative that invited you to see and feel the design. This vibe was enhanced by the muted floral tones and boho-inspired flower arrangements that decorated the space adding movement and beauty.
It was a dream to collaborate with such a talented team of wedding professionals and bring this vision to life.

This gorgeous Clementine Hall wedding was a true reflection of creativity, elegance, and personal touches woven throughout the day. We had the joy of designing both their invitation suite and many of their day-of details, and every element wove the couple’s story and style into their big day.
Elegant Letter-Pressed Invitations
One of our favorite parts of this wedding was how involved the groom was in the design process and the overall aesthetic, which we love! Together, we created a letterpress invitation suite that set the tone for the celebration. A soft blue vine design bordered the invitation, while dreamy light blue lettering paired beautifully with an envelope liner resembling a watercolor field of flowers. The suite was layered with a vellum overlay, tied together with a thick, dusty blue ribbon, and finished with a gold wax seal. It was elevated, romantic, and timeless.
Limoncello Wall + Escort Tags
During our consultation, the couple mentioned that they LOVE limoncello. Naturally, we knew this had to play a starring role in their wedding design, so we designed a custom seating chart around limoncello, and it was better than we envisioned! Guests were welcomed with the seating chart wall display featuring three columns of shelving, each lined with bottles of homemade limoncello (or lemonade for those littles in attendance). Yes, you read that right, the couple made the limoncello themselves!! Talk about a personal touch!
Each bottle featured a circular escort tag with the guest’s name and table assignment. Across the top of the display, we added the playful phrase: “Take a ‘cello and Please Be Seated.” At the base of the installation, lush florals completed the look, making this display not just a seating chart, but a true statement piece and guest favorite.
Day-Of Details: Wedding Signage
Beyond the invitations and seating chart, we created several custom paper goods and signage to carry the couple’s aesthetic throughout the celebration. A white fabric wedding welcome sign with soft blue lettering set the tone from the moment guests arrived. Bar signage featured signature cocktails inspired by the couple’s beloved dogs, Willow and Luca, complete with hand-sketched portraits. It was a personal detail that had everyone smiling.
Menus and an Elegant Tablescape
Menus sat atop each place setting. The pink, floral patterned plates and gold cutlery added a pop of color to tables draped in textured white linens and surrounded by soft blue chairs. Candlelight and romantic floral centerpieces tied everything together for an atmosphere that was both inviting and elegant.
From the custom invitation suite to the unforgettable limoncello seating chart wall, every design choice reflected the couple’s personality and vision. This was so much fun to create and bring to life. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

We are back at the enchanting Southall Farm and Inn as we take part in elevating the gorgeous wedding of White Ink couple, Brittanie and Tristen. This wedding touches all the senses, as textures and colors burst throughout the Franklin, TN venue. For this elegant, black tie wedding, we created several fun and unique textured details. From fabric signs to stone table numbers, we loved putting all our creative energy to use to make their vision come alive.
Elegant Wedding Invitation Suite
Brittanie and Tristen’s invitation complete with letterpress on hand-torn stock card created an incredibly elegant feel and look for their big day. Wedding invites have the power to truly set the tone for the entire event. I love when our couples understand how important it is to not skip the delicate details that give their guests the very first impression of what’s to come.
Note the pressed image of the Southall venue gently placed over the invite. It’s a small yet mighty detail that makes this invite one-of-a-kind.
Another detail that we must highlight in this suite is the beautiful envelope liner. In my opinion, envelope liners are simply a must, especially when finding ways to customize your wedding invitation suite. I like to think of it as the lining of a fancy jacket; it’s a place to pull in color and even have some fun and make it yours!
“I’m in heaven for your wedding, so what shall I do? I’ll come back to earth to spend it with you. So save me a seat, just a comfy chair, you may not see me, but I will be there.” This touching poem was placed on a fabric banner along with the names of those from Brittanie and Tristen’s life who have passed on. It was an honor for us at White Ink to be involved in such a sentimental part of the ceremony and create this loving gesture for our couple.
Custom Fabric Bar Sign
For cocktail hour, Brittanie and Tristen chose to utilize fabric for the custom bar sign. I like getting the chance to showcase our work as we step off the paper and onto other textures! The look of the fabric bar sign, on the thick wooden bar decorated with soft florals is perfectly inviting as guests make the transition from ceremony to reception. Also, I can guarantee guests will not forget a sign like this!
The title of this custom escort wall says it all: “Love in Full Bloom”. Brittanie and Tristen’s seating chart was so much fun to help create. As if the cascading florals all around aren’t enough to brighten this display, we kept it coming with custom escort cards attached to individual flowers. I like to think of them as small tokens to carry on the mood and energy of this fantastic day.
Textured Reception Details
The delicious menu selection was printed on a beautiful stock card and placed underneath a delicate place card with baby blue ribbons. I think it’s important to point out the spectacular usage of texture from Brittanie and Tristen’s reception. Guests soaked in the beauty of soft linens, traditional and modern glassware, abundant florals, and warm candlelight. THIS is how you create the mood and keep the guests engaged in every sense. I could have stayed here forever.
I have been so excited to showcase these table numbers! Talk about texture! These custom stone table numbers from our extensive rental collection are a favorite of ours at White Ink. We were thrilled to provide these at the reception for Brittanie and Tristen. They created the perfect balance of the texture-filled tablescapes and were undoubtedly a main conversation piece. Reception decor is a wonderful time to show your style and personality just as Brittanie and Tristen did. The Roman numerals were an excellent touch.
Here’s to Brittanie and Tristen. For trusting White Ink with the finer details of this fine day. The love, the people, the creativity is something that will stay with us for many years to come. Cheers!

Once again, we found ourselves back at the iconic Country Music Hall of Fame, this time to honor and celebrate this seriously gorgeous White Ink couple, Hannah and Zach. Style and texture effortlessly danced together at this stunning wedding reception. I’m beyond thrilled to share another White Ink gem with you guys!
Column Seating Chart
For starters, Hill Event Rentals really outdid themselves when it came to constructing this one-of-a-kind seating chart where White Ink printed names of each guest. (I’m here for a solid collab!) If a couple wants to find a spot in their reception where they can have fun and step outside of traditional style, seating charts are the perfect place to start.
These columns not only add dimension but also command attention. Guests were unsurprisingly wowed by this stunning seating chart. I love that the couple styled the bold display with soft candlelight and delicate white florals, setting the tone for an elegant evening.
When I say these seating chart column displays commanded attention, they did just that. I am all for going big for your wedding! Dream big and go for it!
Stone Table Numbers
Often times, couples prefer a table number style from our rental collection, which will fit unassumingly into their tablescape design. Table numbers usually play a very important, but quiet part in a table setting. However, sometimes, you just want to stand out! No one did this better than Hannah and Zach. They chose to use an organic stoned table number for each of their tables to guide guests to their seats. Talk about a conversation piece! Such a unique and fun piece!
A Wedding Reception of Style and Texture
Note how the difference in the textures in this tablescape design provides a bold and delicate balance to the aesthetic of the room. The soft white florals, linen, and organic stoned table numbers all work together like a dream.
Fabric Bar Menu Sign
Texture was having a MOMENT at this unforgettable reception, ya’ll. I love showing up for my clients and assisting with unique styles and items . I especially love a chance to remind people that yes, we do calligraphy, but it is SO much more that! We are in the business of turning your vision into a reality-whatever that looks like. I am simply in love with this hanging fabric bar sign that we did.
Using fabric in this way can take a simple bar aesthetic and elevate it instantly. Modern and sophisticated is the message here, and I just cannot get enough.
The stone signage carried over into one of the most thoughtful guest book tables we have seen. The wording on the stones read “Please Sign Our Bible” and “Pick a Verse, Leave a Note, Sign Your Name.” I thought this is a particularly touching way for couples of faiths to keep it close to their hearts. I imagine those sweet notes are filled with positivity and light.
Here’s to the uniqueness of each of our couples. Here’s to the memories we get to make alongside them. And here’s to every little letter we create that helps bring their vision to life. Each one is written on our hearts. You could say, it’s written in stone. Cheers!
