At White Ink Calligraphy + Co, we believe wedding design is about more than beautiful details. It’s about creating a cohesive and memorable experience for guests that fully encapsulates our clients’ wedding vision. Kansas and Don’s wedding at Diamond Creek Farm in Nashville was filled with intentional, elegant, and meaningful design moments. As a full-service wedding design house, it was such a joy to bring their vision to life and create custom signage and details for their special day.
Kansas was a stunning bride. Her off-shoulder wedding dress featured long-sleeves and intricate lace details . What I loved even more though, was that the bride is a florist. I absolutely love working with fellow creatives, as they appreciate things like texture, composition, and detail on a deeper level. Kansas brought such thoughtful intention to every element, and together we created pieces that felt refined yet personal.
Custom Ceremony & Welcome Signage
Guests were greeted as they arrived at Diamond Creek Farm by a frosted glass welcome sign framed in gold and featuring soft white calligraphy. There’s something about frosted glass that feels elevated and romantic. The welcome sign was framed by soft florals that further elevated the entire installation.
Displayed at the ceremony was a custom sign reading “Pick a seat, not a side! You are loved by both the groom & Bride.” This simple phrase set such a warm tone and emphasized the value Kansas and Don place on unity and togetherness. We also designed a cloth wedding sign that made for a great photo background for the bride and groom.
The Seating Chart Installation
After a touching ceremony, guests could find their seating assignment from the white seating chart columns. I love the clean, architectural, and timeless design we were able to create with these. For this installation we collaborated with Blue Fish Event Rentals, which is always such a treat. They do amazing work and our partnership allows us to dream bigger and execute seamlessly. The crisp black calligraphy against the white columns felt modern yet classic, perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic of the day.
Elevated Reception Details
The reception design layered texture, color, and movement in thoughtful ways. We designed the acrylic bar signage in a plum color with white calligraphy.
At the tables, white place cards identified each guest’s seat and had ribbons attached in different colors to indicate meal selections-a functional and beautiful addition!
The custom menus we designed featured a black vellum overlay adorned with pink florals and secured by a gold pin that allowed guests to gently spin the overlay upward to reveal the menu beneath. Interactive details like this create a tactile experience, which are always my favorite.
Lastly, stone table numbers brought an organic, textural element to the already beautiful tablescape.
Handmade Paper with Personal Touches
A fun detail we created were the handmade paper displays that featured fun facts about Kansas and Don, which sat at the head table. It’s these unexpected, and fun details that guests remember and truly make the day yours.
Kansas and Don’s wedding is such a beautiful example of what happens when every detail is thoughtfully designed and intentionally placed. From custom signage and deatails to handmade paper goods, every piece worked together to tell a cohesive story and create a memorable experience for all those in attendance.

When designing paper goods and day-of details for weddings, we always strive to bring cohesion to the design. We did just that for this Cherokee Dock Nashville wedding. The couple, Madison and Jackson, dreamed of a celebration filled with soft spring colors, thoughtful touches, and a hint of fun. We took their ideas and wove their vision and colors into every element we created, bringing their vision to life. From the invitation suite to the late-night snack boxes, this wedding was full of creativity, color, and personality.
A Soft, Spring-Inspired Invitation Suite
We started with an invitation suite inspired by airy spring hues. The palette centered around light blue, white, and a soft sherbet orange, which instantly set a fresh and joyful tone for the day.
For the envelopes, we used a dusty blue color that was the foundation of the wedding day design. The envelopes featured the couple’s monogram and a custom floral-patterned envelope liner created with the wedding’s signature orange hue accent color.
The main invitation was white with light blue calligraphy. The details card was similar but stood out with a thick sherbet-orange border. The entire suite was then wrapped in a vellum band in the same light orange color showcasing a custom sketch of Cherokee Dock in a deep blue.
The suite felt polished yet playful and gave guests an early glimpse into the wedding day ahead.
Wedding Day-of Details
For the ceremony, we designed a white welcome sign featuring sherbet orange lettering, keeping everything soft, clean, and cohesive.
Guests also received program fans, which served a dual purpose of sharing the ceremony details while offering much-needed relief from the Tennessee heat. Practical and beautiful—our favorite combination.
Fun, Colorful Details at the Bar
We created bar inserts showcasing the signature light blue color pattern. This same pattern could later be found on the table linens created seamless design that carried through the wedding day. On top of the bar, guests found custom orange napkins and white stir sticks with an orange flower sketch, bringing an extra pop of color. It’s always the small touches that make the biggest impact.
Seating Chart Display
We created a framed seating chart wall with a gallery light, giving it the look of a curated art installation. The clean, structured design brought an elevated feel to the reception entrance.
Reception Details That Tied Everything Together
As guests entered the reception, they located their seats using the frosted acrylic table numbers and white place cards we designed. Notice anything familiar? Here are the table linens I mentioned earlier featuring the same light blue pattern from the bar fronts! The repeating pattern created a seamless, intentional design, which is our speciality.
We also designed the frosted cups used throughout the evening, which doubled as wedding favors. Each cup featured the Cherokee Dock sketch from the vellum band, this time printed in light orange, paired with the couple’s initials and wedding date in soft blue. It was the perfect blend of chic and fun.
A Playful Late-Night Snack Moment
The wedding ended with a little late night snack of burgers and fries that were served in custom burger and fry boxes we designed! The white burger boxes featured a bold orange circle centered on the lid with the couple’s monogram in white. The fry boxes leaned retro with white-and-red stripes and a yellow circle holding the same monogram.
This final detail brought so much personality and nostalgia. It was impossible not to smile when you saw them. Not only that, but they were truly so much fun to create.
A Spring Wedding Filled With Creativity and Color
This Cherokee Dock celebration was the perfect mix of polished design, soft springtime color, and playful, personalized details. Every piece from the invitations to food packaging was created with intention and cohesive design in mind. It was an honor to bring Madison and Jackson’s wedding vision to life.

This gorgeous Clementine Hall wedding was a true reflection of creativity, elegance, and personal touches woven throughout the day. We had the joy of designing both their invitation suite and many of their day-of details, and every element wove the couple’s story and style into their big day.
Elegant Letter-Pressed Invitations
One of our favorite parts of this wedding was how involved the groom was in the design process and the overall aesthetic, which we love! Together, we created a letterpress invitation suite that set the tone for the celebration. A soft blue vine design bordered the invitation, while dreamy light blue lettering paired beautifully with an envelope liner resembling a watercolor field of flowers. The suite was layered with a vellum overlay, tied together with a thick, dusty blue ribbon, and finished with a gold wax seal. It was elevated, romantic, and timeless.
Limoncello Wall + Escort Tags
During our consultation, the couple mentioned that they LOVE limoncello. Naturally, we knew this had to play a starring role in their wedding design, so we designed a custom seating chart around limoncello, and it was better than we envisioned! Guests were welcomed with the seating chart wall display featuring three columns of shelving, each lined with bottles of homemade limoncello (or lemonade for those littles in attendance). Yes, you read that right, the couple made the limoncello themselves!! Talk about a personal touch!
Each bottle featured a circular escort tag with the guest’s name and table assignment. Across the top of the display, we added the playful phrase: “Take a ‘cello and Please Be Seated.” At the base of the installation, lush florals completed the look, making this display not just a seating chart, but a true statement piece and guest favorite.
Day-Of Details: Wedding Signage
Beyond the invitations and seating chart, we created several custom paper goods and signage to carry the couple’s aesthetic throughout the celebration. A white fabric wedding welcome sign with soft blue lettering set the tone from the moment guests arrived. Bar signage featured signature cocktails inspired by the couple’s beloved dogs, Willow and Luca, complete with hand-sketched portraits. It was a personal detail that had everyone smiling.
Menus and an Elegant Tablescape
Menus sat atop each place setting. The pink, floral patterned plates and gold cutlery added a pop of color to tables draped in textured white linens and surrounded by soft blue chairs. Candlelight and romantic floral centerpieces tied everything together for an atmosphere that was both inviting and elegant.
From the custom invitation suite to the unforgettable limoncello seating chart wall, every design choice reflected the couple’s personality and vision. This was so much fun to create and bring to life. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

As a full-service wedding design house in Nashville, we love working with couples and planners to create wedding details that reflect each couples’ unique vision. It is such a treat to create custom pieces that tell your story, and are thoughtfully woven into your day. Lexi Jo and Landry’s artistic and colorful wedding at Belle Meade Historic Site in Nashville, Tennessee, was the perfect example of how vibrant colors and meaningful design can come together to create something truly beautiful and unforgettable.
Sherbet Hues and Hand-Painted Details
Their wedding invitations were one-of-a-kind. The main invite was both elegant and southern in style with white card stock and blue calligraphy. Then there was the cowboy boot-shaped welcome party piece, which hinted at the fun cowboy cocktail dress code. It was playful, memorable, and full of personality just like the couple! This was the perfect base for the pop of sherbet orange on the rsvp and wedding details card. The combination of white and blue, and the creamy orange hue were carried throughout the day.
However, our favorite moment of this suite was the groom’s hand-painted floral artwork that was included on the vellum overlay (as well as many other wedding details) that held all the paper pieces together with a wax seal.
Day-of Details That Brought the Color Palette to Life
The celebration continued with colorful, cohesive paper goods that carried their sherbet-toned color palette and floral focused design into every space.
Wedding Welcome Sign
A white, rounded welcome sign featuring Southern-inspired blue calligraphy greeted guests, framed by a stunning floral arrangement bursting with vibrant pinks, purples, and oranges. As guests entered the outdoor ceremony site covered in gorgeous florals they could pick up a wedding program. We designed the programs on classic white paper with blue calligraphy and a floral element from the suite brought a cohesive and elegant finishing touch to the ceremony space.
Elegant Seating Chart
The seating chart was a show-stopping display and one of my favorite details. The display featured soft blue lettering on a white background that had a 3D effect with stunning florals arranged at the base. The mix of low florals and tall stemmed blooms created a romantic, layered look that perfectly complemented the venue’s charm.
Bar Sign
We created an oval bar sign in steel blue, with white calligraphy framed by the same floral border from the invitation art. This visual tie-in made the entire event feel thoughtfully styled.
Reception Tablescape and Details
As guests moved inside for the reception they found their menus tucked into a custom die-cut orange pocket, again featuring Landry’s floral artwork. The menus and orange acrylic table numbers popped against the blue linens and tied into the colorful spring floral centerpieces.
Lexi Jo and Landry’s wedding was full of color, romance, and intention. It was a joy to work them, and lean in to their love of color and design, as well as the rest of the amazing vendor team who brought this wedding dream to life!

A custom wedding invitation is as unique to a couple as a fingerprint. It belongs to them and there is simply no other invite like it.
White Ink has been specializing in custom invites for several years, and each process is as exciting as the one before. Seeing our brides and grooms incorporate distinctive and meaningful details into their wedding invitations and make their visions come to life is easily the best part of our job.
The custom invitation suite we created for White Ink couple, Alyssa and Jared, is a beautiful example of what it looks like when we pull together unique textures, tones, florals, and calligraphy that speak to the personality of a couple and what inspires them.
“Nothing says ‘timeless southern wedding’ more than blue and white hydrangeas.”
What Inspires a Custom Wedding Invitation Suite?
The inspiration behind the design of custom wedding invitations aims to reflect the theme of a client’s big day. For Alyssa and Jared, that meant choosing details that could blend perfectly into their end-of-summer, southern nuptials, which included a gorgeous summer wedding reception at the iconic Hermitage Hotel in Nashville. Nothing says “timeless southern wedding” more than blue and white hydrangeas!
From top to bottom, the entire suite is giving southern living with a kiss of Nantucket floral vibes! Each layer is an absolute treat for the eyes with florals peeking from every corner.
If you’re familiar with the motif of a traditional southern wedding, you’ll know that more is always better- especially when it comes to florals! This invitation suite did not disappoint. From the envelope liner to the vellum gatefold, these invites are blooming with summery, southern florals.
By giving us an in-depth dive into the details and design of the grandmillennial aesthetic of their wedding, Alyssa and Jared were able to achieve the classic elements and charm they envisioned for their custom wedding invitations. We always work closely with our couples to make each project nothing short of special.
It’s all in the Details.
We are thrilled when it’s time to roll up our sleeves and begin the process of designing the custom wedding invitation of our clients dream. This is what we love to do and it’s why we’re here!
Let’s get into details that perfectly pulled Alyssa and Jared’s invitation suite together to pair with their classic southern, summer wedding day.
Spot calligraphy in dark blue ink addressed the dusty-blue toned envelopes.
We created the dark blue envelope liner that boasted baby blue and white summer florals. Envelope liners are always an eye-catching experience for guests!
A vellum gatefold is used to clutch the invitation suite. The soft transparent texture complete with southern florals easily elevates the elegance of the invites.
A custom wax seal added to the charm and texture of the vellum gatefold.
The custom monogram located atop the main invitation is digitally printed. Customized invitation artwork like this can pack a powerful punch in the uniqueness of an invitation suite.
The lettering throughout the invitation suite is done in a soft silver hue using thermography text- a process that is used to mimic the look of engraved lettering.
Thermography- Did you Know?
Thermographic printing is a printing technique that uses heat to slightly raise the lettering off of paper or cardstock adding to the texture and finish of an invite. It’s like adding an instant layer of luxury to your invitation suite!
When it comes to custom wedding invitations, White Ink has you covered. We have extensive experience in what it takes to create the exact invite our clients envision. Whether the theme is boho chic or traditionally southern, we know how to make an invitation suite that is uniquely you!

Fixed among the serene beauty of rural Franklin, TN, Southall Farm & Inn lent itself to one of the most gently breathtaking weddings we’ve been a part of. White Ink couple, Lauren and John, allowed us to create custom spring wedding details for their incredible wedding day and we were honored to do it.
Classic Invitation Suite
Coming in on the heels of spring, just before the summer wedding season, this special day proved to be perfect in so many ways. We began with designing Lauren and John’s impressive and quintessentially classic invitation suite. There is a notable balance of boldness and delicacy as the envelope liner with a print of the gorgeous foothills of the Southall venue jumps right off the paper while the vellum sleeve softly wraps around the classic letterpressed invitation. A perfectly placed, dusty-rose, wax seal to close the vellum wrap added an extra charm that effortlessly tied the suite together. It really was the perfect invite.
Notice that the custom wax seal not only matched the dusty rose color of the RSVP card, but it also boasts florals to match the ones found on the vellum wrap. There is nothing that elevates a wedding like tying together details throughout!
From the bride’s bouquet to a cascade of florals used for the arbor, we couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous flowers bursting through each part of this spring wedding!
Chic, sleek, and simple – the bar menu that we prepared for Lauren and John fit perfectly into the bar’s clean look and layered textures. Guests definitely enjoyed the inviting vibe of this delicious cocktail hour. How could you not?
We helped guests to their seats with a tastefully designed seating chart. I adore the soft gray lettering against the white signage as flower arrangements kissed the bottom of the chart. Florals and signage just go together, there’s just nothing else like it!
Custom Spring Wedding Details
One of the most exciting things for us at White Ink is when our couples request the “designer’s choice” for some of their details and signage. Sometimes, brides and grooms know exactly what they’re looking for with these types of details and decor. However, there are others who just aren’t sure what would look best. We LIVE for these moments! Not only is this what we do, but more than that, it means that our couples completely trust us and our experience.
Customized Wedding Reception Details
For Lauren and John, we were happy to flex our creative muscles to come up with these stunning table numbers for their reception. We surprised them with a frosted acrylic to match the vellum wrap we made for the invitations, as well as etched florals from the vellum wrap. We then mounted it against a laser-cut number in white acrylic to natural wood. Designer’s choice and a chef’s kiss.
Menus are another great opportunity for brides and grooms tie in special details. Lauren and John chose the same letter press wording and hue of that of their wedding invites.
These menus were simply made for this tablescape as they tucked effortlessly against the napkins and place settings. Never stealing the show, only elevating it.
Lauren and John were a delight to work with from start to finish! It was an honor to be a part of their big day. The couple ensured that every guest felt special, and that every detail mattered. This is a wedding that will certainly be hard to forget. A toast to the happy couple- a toast to forever. Cheers!
