Timeless Texture | Mae + Casey | 5.29.21

Timeless Texture | Mae + Casey | 5.29.21

I want to say, whenever our couples take the time to include different textures in their wedding details it is ALWAYS worth the effort. Any creative knows that layered textures are sure to elevate an event. I’m excited to show you what White Ink created for Mae and Casey on their big day!

For starters, the home our couple chose as their venue was the most eye-pleasing, awe-inspiring place. There was no shortage of ivy laced brick, beautiful archways, iron gates or spiral staircases; I could go on and on. Fun fact: this home was also filmed in the show, “Nashville”, for all of you fans out there.

White Ink was thrilled when Mae and Casey asked us to put our own touch on this one-of-a-kind wedding. One of the best things about being a part of it all was getting to show the true beauty behind layering textures. Notice how the custom designed menu was displayed: heavy wooden table, gold rimmed glass charger, soft linen, rounded edged menu with spot calligraphy, and an olive branch all tied together with a single piece of twine. Whew! Now that is how you impress your guests using texture! This display at Mae and Casey’s reception embodied the perfect mixture of bold and gentle to make the dreamiest styled tablescape we have seen in a long time.

Check out this seating chart! Have you ever seen glass so perfectly placed? I mean this looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale! These gorgeous, gold-trimmed standing mirrors rested softly against iron gates and sat on a cushy bed of moss that was growing atop the stone floors and walls. (I mean, I love that I even get to say that sentence.) Again, layered texture for the win! I love seeing White Ink’s work used like this. It’s just so satisfying.

I was excited that Mae and Casey chose one of our card boxes from our extensive rental collection. This particular card box is gold trimmed and went flawlessly together with all of the gold accented décor throughout the ceremony and reception. The table numbers we provided for them were complete with gold flake corners and lettering, as well as the beautiful cocktail signage all done in gold ink calligraphy.

We love watching our couples piece their wedding day together and we love even more that we get to be such a big part of that. And when it comes to using lots of texture, don’t be afraid of it. It might be exactly what you’re looking for!

A Fairytale Wedding in the Blue Grass State | Adair + Andrew | 10.2.21

A Fairytale Wedding in the Blue Grass State | Adair + Andrew | 10.2.21

It makes my calligrapher heart so happy to see White Ink’s work go beyond the Nashville scene. We love to reach out as far as we can, leaving our mark on the events and weddings that our clients have worked so hard to pull together. This time we found ourselves in the dreamiest corner of Kentucky, with the sweetest couple we could’ve hoped for. I’ve been so excited to share these moments from Adair and Andrew’s charming Kentucky wedding with you!

Want to know the best way to boost the décor of your wedding? Mirrors! Mirrors take on a very delicate and unassuming role in the world of décor. They can flawlessly and beautifully fill any space in nearly any event. White Ink has an amazing collection of mirrors for our brides and grooms to use and customize for their weddings. When it comes to making good use of the versatility that our mirror collection provides, Adair and Andrew understood the assignment.

Check out how adorable our round ornamented mirror looks beside the card box. I love that they chose signage to help highlight what the guests would find at this table. I feel like this sweet little mirror and card box were made for each other! So, so perfect.

As if walking underneath a canopy of holly trees to find their seat wasn’t breathtaking enough, guests were swept away with the tender lyrics of one the most well-known love songs ever. We customized this gorgeous mirror to read, “Take my hand, Take my whole life too.” I mean, it’s enough to turn anyone into a complete puddle, right? Our bride and groom also used a custom mirror at their cake and dessert table with the lyrics, “How sweet it is to be loved by you.” I cannot think of a better way to add romance to your wedding décor. Additionally, Adair and Andrew chose one of our favorite mirrors that we custom made to use as their welcome sign, and I love the uniqueness of the frame for this sign. The outdoors of Kentucky worked as the perfect setting for it.

Our couples can never go wrong when choosing these beautiful, tall, standing mirrors to customize their seating chart. There’s something about their beautiful thin gold frames that makes the wording just pop! But I think my new favorite thing is really starting to be the photo guestbook signage. It’s kind of the cutest idea ever and our couples can walk away with instant lasting memories. (It’s the cute little camera on this mirror for me!)

Ok guys, from the castle, to the gardens, to the string quartet and everything in between (including some tasty McDonald’s fries), this wedding was seriously straight out of a fairytale. Our White Ink team was so thrilled with how our details turned out for Adair and Andrew. To say the least, we are proud to be a part of this Kentucky dream!

January Dreams | Amanda + Adam | 1.9.21

January Dreams | Amanda + Adam | 1.9.21

Amanda and Adam’s wedding was the first on our schedule for the 2021 season, and it was honestly the best start to the kind of wedding season we were hoping for! Winter weddings offer an inviting change of style and energy to the wedding scene, which makes it really special to us. Amanda and Adam trusted White Ink to dive into our creativity and give them some amazing wedding details that we know you’re going to love!

Let’s start with the custom invitation wedding suite. These invites were fully-calligraphed which is not only gorgeous, but also has the amazing ability to effortlessly demand the attention of its reader. In short, this suite is powerful and bold, quite like a winter wedding. The beautiful gold ink work was done using thermography: a process where heat is used to infuse a powdered resin with ink to naturally raise the lettering and give way to a flawless textured look. Always a treat getting to do this for my couples!

Moving on to more wedding keepsakes, I was excited to show you Amanda and Adam’s precious vow envelopes. We LOVE envelope calligraphy, especially when we know it’s going to be something that will be treasured for a lifetime! If you are planning to write your own vows, elevate this beautiful memory with custom calligraphy. You absolutely will not regret taking time to do this for yourselves.

White Ink’s touch could be seen throughout the ceremony and reception. I loved getting to use our gorgeous, ornamented mirror for Amanda and Adam’s wedding welcome sign. One of the best things about using the mirrors from our collection is getting to reuse and customize each of them to fit the style of the bride and groom. The same goes for our card boxes (these are honestly my favorite little things ever!).

The mirrored seating chart we made was surrounded by oversized candles and draped in a gorgeous arrangement of florals. It’s always nice to see these seating charts presented in such a beautiful way. Hand lettering mirrors is something White Ink has been doing since the very beginning. It’s a detail that always delivers and has stood the test of time for so many events. Pro tip: A hand lettered seating chart also allows your guests to get a glimpse of themselves for a much-appreciated wardrobe check.

From the stunning Clemintine Hall venue in the heart of Nashville to the four-tiered cake, Amanda and Adam’s winter wedding was certainly one to remember. It was a dream! White Ink was lucky to have such an unforgettable start to another fantastic wedding season.
