There is a saying, “Retirement is when you stop living at work and start working at living.” And what better way to begin a new chapter in your life than to celebrate? I cherish every opportunity we get at White Ink to help elevate what are often major events in our clients’ lives, but there is something particularly special about getting the chance to be a part of a retirement celebration. Taylor Farms gave a beautiful farewell to two employees who were more like family. We were so lucky to celebrate with Bryan and Dan, and many of their closest family, friends, and coworkers. Take a look at some of these fun details we created for them.
The signage we did for this is some of my favorite. I really love getting to use our chalkboard welcome sign. It has a particular boldness about it that has a way of grabbing your attention while fitting perfectly into many styles of decor. It was perfect for this event!
Tabletop chalkboard signage just, works! These little guys can be as formal or as casual as you want them to be. And I love it when our clients choose to use these as a way to guide their guests through events.
Ok, so I want to take a quick moment to recognize one of the best in the business, Dana Carroll McCollum with Dana Carroll Co Weddings & Events! She is an amazing planner, and we absolutely LOVE each and every time we get to work with her. We usually find each other working together on weddings, so it was really fun getting to change things up while working an event like the Taylor Farms Retirement Celebration. One of the coolest parts of my job is fostering relationships among other creatives within the wedding and event world. The planning community is a very special place and people like Dana are a big reason why.
Going back to the details, I am thrilled with how well these adorable cocktail napkins turned out! The gold lettering over the black stands out so well. Details like custom cocktail napkins are a fun way to make an event feel personal and extra special. And we NEED to talk about these drink stirs! Laser cuts are now something we do in-house, and I am really excited about it because the possibilities are endless. The custom-designed, laser-cut drink stirs we did for Bryan and Dan was a stand-out piece at the party. Even the smallest details can have a lasting effect on how your guests remember your event.
Bryan and Dan elevated their party favors to their guests with the custom tags we made for each gift. Again, this is a subtle way to show your guests that you’re glad they are there to celebrate with you. It points to a great deal of thoughtfulness when you choose small yet powerful details like these.
To Dan and Bryan, we at White Ink wish you the best on what is hopefully the happiest new beginning of your lives! We are so grateful to have been a part of such a special Taylor Farms send-off. Here’s to celebrating retirement and working at living! Cheers!
Nashville is widely celebrated as the birthplace of country music. When you’re here, you don’t have to go very far before you start to hear sounds of strumming and people bearing their hearts and souls through the words and the meanings of this thing they call country. If this is your jam, we are excited to bring you downtown with us to see how White Ink couple, Lindsey and Carson, created their downtown Nashville dream wedding surrounded by the iconic collections that live inside of Nashville’s very own Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Check out how we played a part in creating details that helped tie this beautiful Nashville wedding together.
It’s easy to tell when a couple takes time and care in selecting the finer details of their wedding. Lindsey and Carson are an exceptional team and were so fun to work with because they took care in choosing what they wanted for their big day.
Downtown Nashville Dream Wedding
This arched wedding welcome sign is definitely one of my favorites from our collection. I love the all-white look; it fits into nearly any style and makes the perfect canvas for displaying florals or really any other designing element that you would want to tie together throughout the day.
The beautiful floral designs that Lindsey and Carson chose were laced throughout the ceremony and reception, including the wedding welcome sign.
Reception Details
It’s fun when we get to focus our attention on the reception too! I can’t begin to tell you guys how cool it is to be a part of so many amazing seating chart designs and ideas.
This seating chart just makes me smile – I don’t know how else to put it. I mean, the muted, soft gray with florals cascading all around. I really love how delicate the white ink looks against this color and how the greenery pops from behind the acrylic of the seating signage. Perfectly magical.
Our couple chose our white arched table number signs in black ink. Not only did these little beauties match the shape and color of the arched wedding welcome sign, but they also blended perfectly into the stunning tablescapes!
Custom Menu + Place Cards
White Ink also designed Lindsey and Carson’s custom menus for the reception that were perfectly tucked into the napkins at the formal place settings. We also created the most adorable little oval place cards with tassels that went alongside the custom menus. I love when details are both adorable and functional!
The word “Dinner” peeks out from the napkin leaving this custom menu sleek and inviting.
“Grab a Drink but your place is on the Dance Floor,” is the kind of guidance I need to encourage me to let my hair down and hit the dance floor. I love added humor into signage like this, very fun and highly appropriate.
Let’s be honest, late night snacks are the real MVPs of wedding receptions and we all know it! I’m so happy we were able to make a sign for these little lifesavers.
When it comes to Nashville, you may be here for the country, or you may be here for a good time. Lindsey and Carson made sure to have both and that’s what keeps us always coming back for more. To this amazing couple, may there be more just like you with nights just like this. Cheers, ya’ll!

There is something really special about getting to be a part of an entire wedding process all the way from the invitation suites down to the monogrammed wax seals on the menu cards. It means so much to us at White Ink when our brides and grooms trust us to help bring their big day to life! It’s why we’re here, and it’s why we’re never leaving. I hope you enjoy the beautiful recap of Elizabeth and James’s wedding day as much as we enjoyed being a part of it.
We made our way to the stunning Cordelle in downtown Nashville to help bring together the finer details of Elizabeth and James unforgettable wedding day. The energy from this couple was genuine and light. They were such a delight to work with the entire way.
We’ll start with the invitation suite. Each detail was carefully selected. Spot Calligraphy, vintage postage, hand-made paper with custom monogram (my personal favorite), envelope calligraphy, all wrapped in a delicate black velvet ribbon and tucked into the always classy dusty-blue hue envelopes. I am on cloud nine every time I look at these beauties. Simply stunning! Fun fact: dusty blue has been one of our most popular colors this year by far.
“Welcome to our Wedding,” simply put and warmly welcoming, the welcome sign we did for Elizabeth and James was elegant and perfectly placed inside this timeless, ornamented frame. Fun tip: mirrors will work with absolutely ANY event style- I promise.
White Ink created the chic program for our couple’s nuptials. You can see the same black velvet ribbon that bound the gorgeous invitation suites was also used around Elizabeth and James’s ceremony programs. Raise your hand if you love details that can carry over!
Another beautifully mirrored sign in a thick, distressed, gold ornamented frame that we used for the couple’s seating chart. “Our Favorite People” is quickly becoming one of my favorite titles for seating charts. So warm and inviting!
White Ink menus are always top-notch menus. The best part about working with Elizabeth and James is how they really wanted to tie together so many delicate details. They chose to use the same hand-made paper for their menus that was also used to create their invitation suites. A solid decision for a bold and timeless wedding. The wax seal used to combine the place cards and menus boasts a custom monogram as well. Fun tip: Elevate your place cards with custom spot calligraphy.
We also supplied Elizabeth and James with our super sleek table numbers that fit effortlessly into the dreamy tablescape.
If you don’t think disco balls and custom monograms belong together, I’m here to tell you- Oh yes, they do! The monogram we used with the handmade invite paper was carried over to the dance floor, illuminated by a chandelier of disco balls. I can’t stop looking. This is just the best thing ever and really gives you a peek into the fun energetic style of our beautiful couple.
I am so happy we finally got a chance to bring you into one of the most fun nights we’ve had in a long time. Elizabeth and James allowed us to show off our creativity and interlace this entire journey with distinctive details and style. They made my job easy, and I love my job! Cheers!
This June I had the honor of hosting the sweetest baby shower for my sister, Townley! Guys, I CANNOT wait to be an aunt. This feels so surreal, and I am drinking up every moment. So many of our clients have had the joy of working with Townley throughout the years as she is a machine behind the scenes at White Ink Calligraphy! She is the heart and soul of our stationary department. Townley continuously dedicates her time assisting our clients with graphic designing and printing services. Whether our couples want a custom wedding invitation suite or one-of-a-kind cocktail napkins, Townley makes it happen! So, now it’s time to celebrate Townley as she glides effortlessly into the beauty of a new role- mother. Enjoy this little peek inside what was an incredibly happy day for us all.
LOVE the invites that we sent out for Townley’s shower. It’s no surprise to anyone that I have always been huge fan of florals on invitations. The flowers bordering the event details are so beautiful and create the most delicate frame. We also really loved using this muted green for the envelopes.
The welcome sign was a true joy to create! The pressed florals between the glass resembles the florals from the invites and the lettering takes on the same muted green from the invitation envelopes. I love when small details connect like this!
For the mamas out there who experienced pregnancy, did you ever have any food cravings? Townley definitely did….she craved mocktails! That has been her number one food craving throughout her pregnancy. So, naturally, we set up a mocktail bar so she could mocktail to her heart’s content. I especially loved the little onesie, paci, and bottle stirrers!
Friends and family surrounded Townley and showed so much support. We were so excited to celebrate baby Goldberg!
It was so fun having everyone fill out these personal message cards for baby Goldberg. There was so much love shared through these sweet notes! – I hope that you love – I hope you always- I hope you never forget – I hope you learn – I hope you get your mama’s – I hope you get your dad’s – I hope you become –
I am so lucky to have a local urban farm right in my neighborhood! Joy House Blooms supplied us with the most GORGEOUS selection of flowers which we used to create a “floral bar”. Guests were encouraged to make their own arrangements that they could take back home with them using this amazing selection of flowers!
The place cards used to identify the flowers looked so good here! The colors, the place cards, the flowers, the mason jars- it’s all just perfection!
Our dogs definitely tried to steal the spotlight during the gift opening. They’re the cutest little attention stealers though aren’t they?
This will be a day I will always cherish. My sister is like my right hand. White Ink wouldn’t be what it is today without her diligence and dedication. But making me an aunt is the best gift by far! I can’t wait to meet baby Goldberg.
There is no shortage of awe-inspiring, crowd-pleasing, showstopping wedding venues in Nashville. But sometimes, home is exactly where you want to be and simply nothing else will do. Because, as we all know, there’s no place like home. Last fall, Caroline and Landon invited their guests to the family farm where they created an incredibly memorable wedding day and White Ink had the pleasure of elevating this beautiful day with some uniquely exciting details.
White Ink made an elegantly simple envelope using spot calligraphy in gold which the couple paired with their invites. I love this look because it is crisp and clean and the perfect example of “less is more”. Timeless and always appropriate.
The vast family farm offered the most breathtaking views and open spaces. Caroline and Landon thoughtfully provided a directional sign for their guests so that they could easily get around the farm. White Ink put together this rustic, chic sign. I especially love the look of the acrylic with the wooden case. The custom white calligraphy was the cherry on top!
We took the same style as the directional sign to create both the wedding welcome sign and the seating chart. It effortlessly tied these important details together. The only major difference was the POP of florals beautifully peeking through the acrylic welcome sign and seating chart. Mixing florals and calligraphy will forever be my favorite!
“Our Favorite People,” is the cutest way to title a seating chart. It’s an instant smile-maker!
We loved getting to add the sweet bride and groom place cards for the head table. Yes, this is a detail that is subtle, but it holds a lot of meaning- this is Caroline and Landon’s first meal as husband and wife! Our couples are always glad they chose not to overlook the small, customizable details. They’re more important than you might think!
One of my favorite things White Ink did for Caroline and Landon’s reception was create a cocktail napkin where we incorporated the profile of Caroline’s beloved horse! Where are my horse lovers at? Is this not the most adorable way to include your favorite animal in the festivities? These cocktail napkins definitely fit into the scene of the evening.
Home weddings are on the rise. And White Ink is here for it! We are honored each time we are invited into someone’s space, to a place they call their own- a place called home. In some way, the memories are a little bit sweeter. Maybe it’s because home is where the heart is. Congratulations Caroline and Landon!
Hey guys! We want to bring you into our event signage process and show you a little bit about what creating your event sign with White Ink Calligraphy looks like. Whatever you are hosting or planning, we are well equipped and have everything on hand to tie your details together with the perfect sign.
“Why is event signage important?” Because it is not only decorative, it’s functional! You wouldn’t be expected to drive on a road without signs to guide you or explain a little bit about your surroundings. So, why would we do that to our guests? From table numbers to seating charts, to bar signs, guests can be confident about the goings on of an event because of the information our custom signage subtlety provides for them.
Our sweet couple, Camille and Daniel, asked White Ink to help provide their wedding guests with lots of great signage throughout their wedding day at Long Hollow Gardens. This gorgeous venue in Gallatin, Tennessee covers a lot of ground and has a lot to offer. So, bringing in signs to keep the crowd headed in the right direction and staying well-informed was a must and a very considerate addition to their big day!
White Ink put together some gorgeous pieces for Camille and Daniel. A customized seating chart, wedding welcome sign, and bar menu were just the start. We also provided our popular acrylic table numbers as well as one of our favorite items- the signage for the couple’s memorial table.
“How do we get started?” First, our clients will look over White Ink’s Request a Quote Form where they can fill us in on the types of event signage they’re looking for and provide the day-of details. From there, folks can view our inventory of rentals in the White Ink collection that are available; or they can choose to use their own signs that we can customize! On this form, we try to get ALL of the info we can in order to give clients the most accurate quote. If they aren’t sure about what signs are best for an event, we can help with that! Clients can even upload pics of some event signage inspo for us to see!
We also ensure the perfect way to get your event signs to you. Whether it’s coordinating with your planner for pick up or arranging the right time for your signage to be delivered, we’ve got you! Our team is the best at what we do. So, what’s your sign?
We are honored to help clients like Camille and Daniel achieve the wedding of their dreams. And we love the signs they chose to use on their big day! The White Ink team was happy to get to work for them and give them exactly the signs they were looking for. Cheers to this amazing couple!
