Letters From Santa! Naughty and Nice!

He’s making a list and checkin’ it twice! We are gearing up to roll out our very popular Letters from Santa!

A Christmas tradition for many children around the world is getting to sit down and write their letter to Santa! You may have even done this yourself as a child, listing your favorite toys, games and treats in hopes of getting what you “wish” for. This rite of passage plays an important role in the magic of celebrating Christmas. If this is a tradition that your family likes to take part in, then we are so excited to share what White Ink has for you!

We think that writing to the North Pole doesn’t have to be a one-way street. This is our favorite time of year because we finally get to offer our “Letters from Santa”! And they are SO much fun! These letters are the perfect way to add to the joy that children delightfully dive into during this time of year.

Each of our letters from Santa includes custom calligraphy on the front of the envelope showing your child’s name. The envelopes are beautifully lined with a properly seasonal tartan plaid liner which always delivers that “holiday feel”. Inside, your child will find their card from Santa Claus confirming that they made it to the Nice List! (Phew!)

The letter is sealed with a Santa monogram wax seal. And finally, each letter from Santa will be complete with vintage Christmas postage. Of course, the postage will be stamped by the North Pole because it totally came from there!  Don’t worry though, we will mail your letter in a white flat mailer addressed to you (NOT your child). You get to choose the perfect time for your little one to discover that Santa has a big surprise for them, and it’s not even Christmas yet!

We are excited to add that Santa has updated his desk stationary! This year, White Ink is offering a chance for parents to get in on the fun by including a “Naughty List” card this holiday season. If you’re looking for a cheeky way to bring a laugh to a spouse, friend or family, send them a letter from the jolly old man himself and enjoy the smile it brings to them.

The only thing that could make this any better is adding our adorable little gift tags from the North Pole, more importantly, from Santa! This is just another small detail that can keep the magic going all the way to Christmas Day! Place these onto the gifts that the “elves” worked so hard to make as an official gift from Santa. I especially love the holly floral print on these little guys!

For the kids (and parents) who are still fully wrapped in the magic and enchantment of the holidays, receiving a letter from Santa Claus is sure to leave a lasting impression. Christmas isn’t just a time of year, it’s a feeling. A child will never forget what it felt like to open the letter that Santa wrote just for them. And White Ink is proud to make this happen for your sweet kiddos and family. Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

“Forever Grateful” | Neeka + Nick | 9.11.21

Every once in a while, our team at White Ink gets to be a part of some incredibly unique projects for our amazing brides and grooms. Neeka and Nick asked us to be a part of making their dream wedding stand out in a way we will always remember.

This Chicago couple came down to Twin Falls at Rock Island Tennessee State Park to say, “I do”. We are so happy they did, because this wedding day definitely made its mark on our hearts!

After an unforgettable ceremony held in front of a WATERFALL, this sweet pair celebrated their nuptials with friends and family in an intimate reception at the lovely Cookeville Estate.

White Ink was happy to customize their mirrored wedding welcome sign that greeted each guest with the lettering “And so, our adventure begins.” I love the peace that comes after reading a message like this one, and it was the perfect fit for Neeka and Nick!

Perhaps one of the most moving details of this Tennessee wedding was how Neeka and Nick chose to remember a very important day in our nation’s history. Their wedding day fell on the 20th anniversary of the terrible events that occurred on September 11th. This poignant moment was not lost on our couple. They chose to honor this day and the lives that were lost by having a Remembrance Table at their reception. I was given the incredible honor of penning a custom letter that was displayed on this table.

The powerful gesture to hold space for those who lost their lives as victims or as first responders on September 11th was the most incredible tribute I’ve seen at a wedding. As Neeka and Nick put it, we are “Forever grateful.”

Neeka thoughtfully decided to gift her new husband a bottle of Blanton’s Bourbon which she had White Ink custom engrave for him! I LOVE when we get to do projects like this because these gifts are one-of-a-kind, and they carry a memory that will last for a lifetime!

For those looking for a gift that leaves a big impression, engraving bottles of bubbly or spirits always brings that wow factor.

Of course, the White Ink team did what we do best and put together an amazing invitation suite for Neeka and Nick. YES, to envelope calligraphy, ya’ll. Look how stunning white looks over top the navy envelopes!

The vintage postage further elevates this look. And little details like a print of The Cookville Estate at the top on the invite perfectly ties the whole day together, from invitation to reception.

Neeka and Nick, you truly know how to turn a wedding into a memorable experience for all involved. This is a day we will remember for years to come, and for that, we are forever grateful. Cheers!

A Bloomin’ Good Time | Nashville Event Florists Come Together to Create Magic

A Bloomin’ Good Time | Nashville Event Florists Come Together to Create Magic

You read that title right. Nashville Event florists created magic before my eyes. Let’s see.. where should I start? This event is one like none other. I can only hope that I’m able to write about this event and give it the proper justice it deserves. Not being a florist, but still involved in the event itself, my picture selections and description are not likely those that a florist would use. However, I’m going to give this my best shot.

Lindsey, the owner behind Gradient and Hue , and a dear friend of mine, created “A Bloomin’ Good Time” – the purpose of the event: to foster a space for florists to gather in support of kindness, community and creativity. SO – what that means: a room filled of passionate florists, creating amazing things.

Each florist created an arrangement or a bouquet – each reflecting their personal style, while all staying within a similar color palette. Photographers, models, event designers, and myself, we were all asked to come in and help provide photo opts for the florists to use – and the result is simply magical. The room was filled with laughter, chatting and spewing with creative energy.

This is me, behind the scenes, with Alex with the New Eclectic! Literally, just observing what we were witnessing. I was running around that day, between work projects, and this was just a few days after the Nashville tornado hit. So while it was a bittersweet time, I was happy the event wasn’t canceled. Little did we all know that we would be in social distancing/quarantine mode just days after this event due to the corona virus. It brings me joy looking back on these photos and hoping we (an industry as a whole) will be back together soon.

For florists, I’m sure its not hard to become less enamored with flowers, especially when you are around them so much. It’s the same way for calligraphers. We are like “oh, that’s a pretty flourish. moving on.” But for me, I’m like “OHHHH MY GOSSSSSHHHH, these flowers are everything. The way you put them together is so amazing.” I hope that makes sense.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many beautiful flower in one place. Raw, and ready to be played with. Again, not a florist here. I was like a kid in a candy store that wasn’t allowed to touch anything. Watching everyone in their element was just icing on the cake.

For this suite I used handmade paper from Fabulous Fancy Pants; and vintage postage from Little Postage House. When pulling together one-off suites for shoots like this, I literally just pull from my stockpile what I already have (most of the time). So with that said, I have no idea where that purple envelope came from. Ha!

Alex with The New Eclectic, a local planner and event designer, takes all the credit for this flat lay! I just stepped back and let her do her thing.

As artists, we are all particular about the way within which we want our work to be photographed. Each florist was able to be on the sidelines, assisting while the photographers went to town. Watching this was so fun!

Again, having fun with watercolor here – but on watercolor paper and not handmade paper.

And lastly, this magical headpiece. Between the florists, the photographers, and the event designers – everyone is technically each other’s competition in the market of the wild wedding industry. However, true creativity is not compromised by competition and not hindered by collaboration. And what happened here at “A Bloomin’ Good Time” was simply magical. Those are my wise words to sum up this special event.
