Hey everyone! We wanted to take the time to show you just a few things that our couples have been gushing over when it comes to calligraphy and stationery designs at their wedding! Leslie and Adam’s wedding is the perfect opportunity for White Ink to show you what we mean. We were delighted to be a part of so much for this event including: the invitations, programs, menus, seating chart display, welcome sign and tabletop signage. You name it, and White Ink was on it.
What’s the new craze in invitations? Navy envelopes! We don’t know exactly why navy hits the spot for so many of our couples, but we aren’t complaining. Look at how stunning Leslie and Adam’s crisp, white invites look against the dark hue. Not to mention, we got to use gold calligraphy on the envelopes that literally shine as the light moves across it. I seriously can’t stop smiling at these. These envelopes have a look that is strong and steady, exactly the kind of message many of our couples want to express.
Ok, let’s talk about how custom seating charts are on the rise. Leslie and Adam’s seating chart absolutely wins! Gold calligraphy written atop hand-torn paper, crowned with a custom wax seal, pinned against a towering hedge wall. Breathtaking! Seating charts have totally transformed as couples are using this particular detail to showcase their own unique styles. White Ink was born for this challenge. Over the past few years, we have been tasked with putting together custom seating charts and escort card displays that are truly showstopping. This is a fantastic way to make your guests feel like they’re a part of something singularly extraordinary.
White Ink has a really terrific rental collection that we love for our brides and grooms to check out. Some of which includes our most popular and trending pieces, like our card boxes! These charming little boxes are a great way to guide your guests to the gift table and show that every item given is treasured. Another White Ink rental favorite is our gold-framed, mirrored welcome sign which Leslie and Adam paired with their impressive seating chart display. This mirrored sign boldly fits into nearly any style of wedding our couples envision. Table signage, especially table numbers and bar signage, can really set your event apart. White Ink includes details that we adjust specifically to your style of wedding or event. This is exactly what we did for Leslie and Adam, as the gold accented table signs matched perfectly with the gold highlights of each tablescape.
What we’ve mentioned here, in the way of popular calligraphy and stationary pieces, is just the tip of the iceberg. There is a wide range of trending items that White Ink is happy to offer our clients. We love making showstopping moments happen for our couples and we honestly look forward to each and every one. Let’s keep these trends going because we just can’t get enough! Congrats to Leslie and Adam! Thank you for letting us be a part of it all.
I like to think that I have been exceptionally lucky in getting to see the most amazing details that this wedding town has to offer. From striking floral arrangements to grand venues, White Ink is constantly wowed by the visions that our couples and fellow creatives have pieced together. Just when you think you’ve seen all things wedding, a couple like Taylor and Jacob come along and remind you that there is so much more to see!
Once again, White Ink returns to the remarkable Saint Elle venue which is known for its distinct modern features. Taylor and Jacob used the beauty of this setting to incorporate their own expressive and romantic styles in one of the dreamiest boho style weddings we have ever seen. Take a look at these photos to see some of our favorite moments from the day. (Peep the triangular arbor!)
Seating charts are a wedding reception’s hidden gem. They offer simplicity in an otherwise high energy setting. Your guests don’t have to worry about having to pick a spot for themselves and can enjoy the transition from cocktail hour to dining. White Ink LOVES seating charts because, for a calligrapher, the choice of canvas is seemingly unlimited. Look at how incredible our couple’s seating chart display was! I mean, calligraphy on VINTAGE VASES! This display is honestly one of the most impressive things I’ve gotten to put my touch on. We still can’t get over how fun this project was!
Another item White Ink prepared for Taylor and Jacob was signage displaying the “Order of Events” and the “Wedding Party.” The idea of keeping your guests informed this way is a personal favorite of mine. Another, favorite for the White Ink team is the adorable “Cards” box that we have recently added to our expansive rental collections. We love getting to customize this small but mighty feature for our lovely couples.
Taylor and Jacob were not shy when it came to choosing expressive, modern, boho and delightfully wild colors and florals for their big day. We are grateful for every couple that we get to work with, especially the ones that open our eyes to a wedding like we’ve never seen before. And we just can’t wait for more.
Most people have been to at least a handful of weddings in their lifetime. Weddings are something we all have in common whether we’ve attended as the guest, as part of the bridal party or as the couple. I think you understand when I say, weddings carry energy, an energy that is specific to each couple. There are a million different ways to celebrate your big day and they are all incredibly unique and special. At White Ink, some of our favorite celebrations come from weddings like Rachel and Derek’s. The energy was higher that the moonlit sky and we will never forget it!
Our bride, Rachel, was so fun to work with. She is a wedding, lifestyle, and boudoir photographer here in Nashville and knows how to shine in front of the lens! She and Derek were the perfect, most easy-going couple who really let their personality take over the details of their gorgeous wedding. My team and I had SO much fun putting together their invites. The colors were beautiful alone, but guests were wowed with a stunning print of the famous Bouguereau painting, “The Birth of Venus” as the envelope liner. I mean, I need more showstopping moments like this.
White Ink was also honored with the task of creating the head-table acrylic place cards. Rachel and Derek included the acrylic table numbers from the White Ink rental collection that always fit so perfectly no matter the décor of the event. Here’s something you never knew you needed for you wedding reception; cake flavor signage! So brilliant. We created the cake flavor sign for Rachel and Derek’s cake table and it worked like a charm. Perhaps this is something you might include in your next celebration?
After the gorgeous ceremony, Rachel’s reception outfit-change let everyone know it was time to celebrate! Between the live music, cascading florals, and breathtaking lighting, the energy of this wedding was always moving. A wedding that moved is the only way to describe it. And as the night moved, time stood still. Our memories from this day will be as sweet as champagne. Cheers!
It is said that rain on a wedding day is good luck! The idea is that when tying a “knot,” a wet one is much stronger than a dry one and so, a rainy wedding day signifies a marriage that is sure to be long-lasting. What a comforting way to enjoy all the tiny droplets of strength that sometimes pour into a couple’s big day. For our clients, Mark and Paul, just as the ceremony began, a little “luck” started falling their way.
White Ink was asked to create the wedding welcome sign which looked gorgeous over the mirrored glass. A piece like this really helps pull together the inviting feeling of a ceremony that our clients hope for. Welcome signs have an unassuming way of saying “we’re glad you’re here, now enjoy!” And we always have fun with these.
Mark and Paul’s request to White Ink also included the seating chart display. Look at how perfectly the seating chart calligraphy atop the vintage windows captured the ambiance of the rustic, industrial style at the barn reception area. (A chef’s kiss!)
Nothing elevates the bold colors and florals of a tablescape like these crisp, elegant menus. The pure look of these menus that we created for Mark and Paul obeyed the handsome style and décor of each table setting. Menu designs can lift expectations for any event, especially wedding receptions. Wouldn’t you agree?
Standing hand in hand beneath a rose-laced arbor that boldly kissed the tree line of Green Door Gourmet, Mark and Paul made their vows. Tear drops and rain drops delicately fell at an equal pace. And this amazing couple happily shared the beginning of the rest of their lives surrounded by friends and family. White Ink was honored just to be a part of it all. Thank you, Mark and Paul. Here’s to many years of happiness and a little luck along the way!
Like the pop of a champagne cork, White Ink has burst into yet another wedding season. And we are ready for it! This is, hands down, our favorite time to really showcase what we love to do for our couples. Samantha and Graham were easily the sweetest bride and groom we’ve had the pleasure to work with. In fact, I took particular pride in getting to be a part of their big day because Samantha was a wedding planner once upon a time. She is a creative herself, so trusting White Ink with the finer details of her wedding was a great honor.
Today, Samantha and Graham are both teachers. They exude a perfect balance of love, humor, and comfort. That balance shone through during the entire process of creating the wedding details that were just right for them. We swoon for the blushing hues of these invitations! These colors poured beautifully into their wedding.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the beauty of gifting an engraved bottle to our grooms? A gift as bold as the sting of its contents but as delicate as the glass that holds it.
The event signage for the ceremony met the guests with subtle displays of rosy ombre tints. We love the gentleness that the signage added to the already gorgeous ambiance of chandeliers and cobble stone in Long Hollow Gardens’ Greenhouse venue.
Naturally, these dreamy colors jumped into the reception with these fun acrylic tabletop signs for Samantha and Graham’s seating chart, drink bar, and decadent chocolate bar! Now it’s a party!
After our couple and their guests danced the night away, everyone was free to take home a little piece of the evening with these adorable koozies! And to the happy couple, we couldn’t have said it better, “Cheers Ya’ll!”
We are just over the moon for Allison & Jon. We literally jumped up and down when this photo gallery came through. We had the pleasure of working with Allison, the bride, from her invitations through the wedding day details. Claire was even onsite for the setup of the below epic seating chart display. Scroll down, this is a fun one. Not only is this a super fun wedding, but the love beams off of Allison and Jon throughout the day. We are so excited to share this wedding with you. Photos by Caitlin Steva Photography. Allison and Jon’s wedding planner was Olive and Ivy Events.
Our bride is an amazing cake baker! So naturally, she made her own wedding cake. These photos of her with her mom, putting the final touches on the cake, make our hearts smile. Check her out! Sweet Remedies Cakes.
Allison and Jon’s invitation suite is the definition of timeless. They used spot calligraphy in silver thermography with a light blue envelope. White Ink’s studio image of this same suite can be found on Instagram.
Ravenswood Mansion showed off on this perfect day spring day! Guests were greeted at the ceremony on the front lawn with a string ensemble; custom programs and a custom welcome sign. The bride framed the printed welcome sign. Florals by LMA Designs.
Allison reserved the WHITE INK JACKET and we are OBSESSED! The jacket is for my Nashville brides who want to be a part of the sisterhood of the traveling wedding jacket, while giving back to our community at the same time.
We love some good bar signs. The story behind the first bar sign – I had originally written out the time window that the whiskey tasting would take place. When onsite for setup of the wedding, the planner said there was enough alcohol to keep the tasting going all night. Cheers to erasing that part of the sign! Ha! The signature cocktails sign contains sport calligraphy and custom cocktail artwork.
Before heading to find their seats, guests were greeted with a seating chart wall. The ombre colored pockets had the guest names written in white ink calligraphy. Inside the pocket contained a vintage inspired ticket and a seat assignment. The ticket was for the big surprise – the hot air balloon!
Did I mention they had an ice cream truck?!
Also, adding the hot air balloon basket banner to my list of favorite lettering projects to date.
